INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS
Industrial buildings:
Lighting in an industrial hall can account for a significant proportion of the monthly energy bill. It is therefore important that the lighting is as efficient and energy-saving as possible. Industrial lighting can significantly reduce energy consumption and also minimise production losses or downtime by extending the service life of equipment. Furthermore, good lighting ensures that people work more productively and creates a safe working environment. Poor lighting can lead to, amongst other things, lower productivity, complaints of fatigue and unsafe situations.
Sports halls:
In the case of a sports hall, the intended use is a key consideration. Glare and shadows are closely linked to the type of luminaire, the luminous intensity used, the height and the glare rating of the luminaire. A tennis hall requires a different approach to an ice-skating rink or a hall used for indoor football. This must be taken into account when drawing up the lighting plan.
Gyms:
Outdated fluorescent lighting is still often found in gyms. These systems are often expensive to maintain, the lighting is sub-optimal and results in high energy bills. With LED lighting, the intensity and uniformity of the lighting can be tailored effectively to the intended use. Other advantages include a low level of glare and good colour rendering.
Fitness rooms:
Every fitness room needs functional and motivating lighting. Gym-goers need to be able to see the fitness equipment clearly in order to use it safely, and the right choice of lighting will create a pleasant atmosphere – a good motivator to stay a little longer and to come back next time.
